Now, for those of you who know me and are wondering "What's with the Dr.G stuff" well, that is simple. I have been a Charter Member of the Lord of the Rings fanclub, and a moderator of the sites which it engendered since the movies were due out, and many of my online friends know me as Dr.G -- so there it is. I do have a D.M.A from UT-Austin in Vocal Performance, so Doctor is a title I have earned, and Gamgee comes from the Gardener in the story who is my hero.
One of the things that I love about our house is that it has a nice-sized back yard, which is rare in Laredo. And since moving in, we have made some nice additions. The first was a fence and grass (with a sprinkler system -- we live in the desert!), and then I started adding roses and flowers.
This, of course, led me to my newest task, which is to create a lovely bit of Hobbiton here in the back yard.
